How to Prepare for a Successful Seminar Experience
- Classroom Curriculum – Each participant received an A to Z Grantwriting Manual with lessons, supplemental materials, samples, resources and tools. This manual serves is a guide and is covered page-by-page during each workshop or seminar. Participants are encourages to return to help them as they write grants for their prospective organizations. Participants report that the manual is extremely helpful in the learning experience.
- Laptop Computer – Participants are welcome to bring laptop computers if they wish to take notes during the seminar.
- Writing Supplies – Participants are encouraged to bring highlighters, paper, pens, pencils, and post-its.
- Current RFP (Request for Proposals/Application Guidelines) and In-Process Proposals – Participants are welcome to bring application guidelines or grants in process to be evaluated by Ms. Vallejo during breaks.
- Visit to the Foundation Center Library – As a part of a complete seminar experience, participants will visit a regional Foundation Center Library. The regional library, hosted by the Foundation Center, provides valuable funder publications and services, as well as free on-line research tools to find “good match” funders.
